Demonstrating 4 feel and 2 feel basslines over John Coltrane’s Giant Steps. The 2 feel at the end is marking rhythmic events of the melody and therefore is a great way to accompany the head out.

Alternating Swing and Latin feels
This tutorial covers a very important topic regarding playing the Jazz Standard repertoire. There are many tunes that change styles and rhythmic feels between sections. It is therefore essential to learn ways of setting up transitions between these styles without obstructing the rhythmic flow of the music.
